COUNTDOWN: There are now 1,084 more days in this impulsive and reckless misadministration’s term in office…
The conspiracy-obsessed, paranoid faction of the reactionary, CON-servative Republican Party hit a new low last week with the delusional Devin Nunes, who claimed, without proof, that there was a conspiracy at the top levels of the FBI to begin a coup against Presi-dunce Donald Chump. This is the same California congressman who ran off the the White House last year to warn Chump about dangers inherent to him from evidence gathered in the House Intelligence Committee he currently heads. To act as Chump’s plant or little tattle-tale on that committee is evidence of paranoia on the part of Nunes, and of collusion with the White House – a reprehensible act that strongly justifies booting reactionary, CON-servative Republicans out of power in next November’s midterms!
The controversy-laden memo drawn up by the staff of House uber-conservarive Devin Nunes, chairman of the Intelligence Committee (who previously had been made to recuse himself from Russia probes but now has mysteriously reappeared), and immediately supported
by House RepublicanMajority Leader Kevin McCarthy, will most likely lead to the firing of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, long in the sites of Chump, abruptly resigmed on Monday. It all reeks of a Chump-sponsored purge of the Justice Department that cannot be condoned by any honest congressperson! Nonetheless, House Republicans voted to release this trumped-up memo, which alleges sinister surveillance abuse by the FBI aimed supposedly unfairly at the Chump administration. The memo is a fabricated pack of lies being willfully distributed by Nunes and his far-right, Trumpist followers in an effort to discredit not only the FBI but also the Justice Department. Nunes is not only rash and reckless in this attempt, but is engaging in releasing classified documents, which may prove dangerous to national security down the line. For this, he should be indicted and possibly convicted and imprisoned.
The allegations in this memo, however, are completely unfounded and are based on what is becoming typical far-right CON-servative Republican paranoia and utter nonsense. One look at the wide-eyed fanatic Nunes should convince everyone he is not dealing with a full deck!
Chump and his select group of Republican House lackeys all supported releasing this memo. They say it will help clear things up – but, in reality, wil cast doubt upon the very important investigation being conducted by Robert Mueller. In essence, it is a transparent attempt to muddy the issue and to buy Chump time. Anyone who has followed either Chump or Numes know that neither man is playing with a full deck. From the bitterly partisan House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy to hot-mouthed, unthinking far right types like Jim Jordan of Ohio and Mark Meadows of Massachusetts, this current batch of off-the-political-table reactionaries has proven they are wholly unfit for governance and must be replaced in next fall’s midterm elections! Throw in the ever-enabling House Speaker
Paul Ruin, who prefers to do little while his government goes up in flames around him, and a Presi-dunce who thinks the Justice Department and Attorney General exist primarily to ensure his pprotection – and you have all the justification one could ask for to BOOT their sorry asses out of the government in November – and to promptly begin the impeachment, conviction, and removal from office of Chump very shortly thereafter!
Tuesday night, we heard Chump’s first – and let us hope ONLY – State of the Union address. It was predictable in that it touted – actually, typically overstated – his perceived accomplishments during his first year in office. Chump took all the credit for the economic boom which began and continued all throughout Barack Obama’s presidency (without giving any credit to Obama, naturally). He boasted about his huge tax scam giveaway for the wealthy, once more lying and calling it a middle class tax cut. He made absolutely no mention of how it will greatly raise the federal deficit, and gave no specifics about how a huge infrastructure project he supports will be funded. He also outlined four pillars of an immigration plan which shows some promise – provided it is actually implemented and will not be revised in a few days, as Chump has done repeatedly in the past. Knowing how unstable Chump has been thus far, plus taking into account the very radical and irresponsible action taken by Devin Nines, all make for a very sorry state of the union this year.
