PROFOUND THOUGHTS FOR PROGRESSIVES MOVING FORWARD!

Jan. 8, 2015  By Jack Jodell.

The Tea Party-infested reactionary Republicans have now retaken control of the Senate and will now undoubtedly try to push this country even further rightward. But I encourage all Progressives to NOT despair, and instead stand firmly in place and FIGHT for what we know is correct and just, both politically AND economically.

To aid in this noble cause, I offer the following profound quotes for active consideration:

“To really understand something is to be liberated from it.”
– Ross Ashcroft

“Corporations are NOT people, and money is NOT Free Speech!”
– Common sense axiom the 99% MAJORITY accept and understand

“The NEEDS of the MANY far outweigh the WANTS of the FEW!”
– Star Trek’s Mr. Spock

“Paying taxes is a form of economic patriotism.”
–  Thom Hartmann

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”
– Henry Ford
.

“I’m really concerned that too big to fail has become too big to jail. That just seems wrong to me.”
– Elizabeth Warren

“If corporations are people, then what are WE?”
– An anonymous Occupy Wall Street Demonstrator

“The Democrats and the Republicans are beholden to corporate interests, and until they become UN-beholden to those corporate interests, we will NEVER have a well-governed republic!”
– Lawrence Wilkerson

“The LEFT is right, and the Right is WRONG!”
– Jack Jodell

” When influence becomes the law, resistance is our DUTY!”
– An unknown Occupy Wall Street Demonstrator

“Democracy is not a spectator sport – it requires YOUR active participation!” – Thom Hartmann

“I’ll believe corporations are people when some Texas judge gives one of them the death penalty!”
– Unknown

“If we started in 1960, and we said that as productivity goes up, then the minimum wage is going to go up the same. If that were the case, the minimum wage today would be about $22 an hour … So my question is, what happened to the other $14.75?”
– Elizabeth Warren

” The accumulation of private property beyond one’s needs is a form of mental illness.”
– An old Native American axiom

“Tax inversion is an act pf sabotage against one’s own country.”
– Unknown

“Right now, we love things and use people. We should use things and love people!”
– An unknown Occupy Wall Street Demonstrator

“All paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value – zero.”
– Voltaire

“In a progressive society, we must move from globalization to localization.”     – Ross Ashcroft

“Neo-classical economics, as advanced by Milton Freiedman and Ayn Rand, and as adopted by much of the world since the days of Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, is today’s version of snake-oil medicine  and must be rejected and opposed at all costs!”
– Jack Jodell

“Today, a political minority in the House that condemns government and begged for this shutdown has had its day. But like all the reckless and extremist factions that have come before it, their day will pass…” – Elizabeth Warren

“In the end, only kindness matters.”
– Jewel

About jackjodell53

I am an American Dissident trapped in a country where poor and middle class people are constantly being exploited and lied to by a very rigid and conservative plutocratic elite. I believe in government OF, FOR, and BY the people, not one controlled as it now is by corporations and special interests.
