Happy Veteran’s Day, everybody! As we commemorate those who gave their lives to protect our country in war, let us also remember and honor all who have risked their lives for us and returned home safely after their term in the service was completed. Further, let us also remember how DICK Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, George W. Bush, and all those other neocons  lied us into a very costly, bloody, and wholly unnecessary war in Iraq, and, in the process enriched a tiny band of military contractors , all at taxpayer expense. Let us pledge to resist any and all attempts by our current bunch of neocons (John McCain snd his lapdog Lindsey Graham in particular), to involve us in yet another drawn-out war, this time with Iran or ISIS!

Today, our resident podcaster extraordinaire Burr Deming shows how President Obama may have a better alternative: using the new Republican Senate to force an agreement neither the Iranians nor the Republicans will like.

BURR DEMING In his own words, Burr says, “In 1993, Prime Minister John Major used his unpopularity in Britain to force opponents to ratify the European Union.

In 1980, Jimmy Carter used his unpopularity in America to force Iran into releasing hostages and paying reparations.

President Obama may have a chance to use his losses in the Senate to force Iran into accepting a nuclear agreement Iran does not like and Republicans hate.”

About jackjodell53

I am an American Dissident trapped in a country where poor and middle class people are constantly being exploited and lied to by a very rigid and conservative plutocratic elite. I believe in government OF, FOR, and BY the people, not one controlled as it now is by corporations and special interests.
