Sept. 30, 2013  By Jack Jodell.

There are few who have deservedly attacked the now reactionary, Tea Party-infested Republican Party more often or more vehemently than this no repubsblogger. This group of crazed, anti-government zealots has done tremendous damage to this country ever since they sprang into being nasty reaganunder Ronald Reagan and increased their frenzy during the presidency of George W. Bush. They continue their ever-rightward spiral downward and are accelerating it to an eventual crash under the influence of the crackpot-laden Tea Party, which infested the GOP in 2010 and is now all but devouring it. These zealots represent an extreme danger to our country because they are fundamentally anti-democracy to begin with and wish to destroy all traces of pro-worker, pro-people government  involvement and influence in our society. These are twisted subversives which must be completely removed from our politics, economy, and government if we are to remain a strong, diverse, and independent nation as we once were.

smug and ignorant bastardIt now appears that there will be a shutdown of the federal government, thanks to rge efforts of that arrogant renegade Tea Party Senator from Texas, Ted Cruz, and an equally rabid group of insane Teapublican House members. 800.000 federal workers will not be reporting to work, meanng that if you need a passport to travel you won’t be able to het one or if you wanted to visit a national park pr national zoo or national museum, you won’t be able to, for they will all be closed. Those wishing to purchase a gun won’t be able to, as no gun permits will be issued during this shytdown. The aerospace and defense industries will also be affected, and the thousands of businesses which supply such industry giants as Lockheed Martin or Raytheon will be forced to lay off workers due to reduced demand for the products and services they produce for them. All because these renegade and uncaring Teapublicans insist that funding for the Affordable Care Act of 2010 be blocked, and the Senate Democrats and President Obama have correctly refused to go along with this madness. These Teapublicans are once again behaving as though they were spoiled children, refusing to join in on a game unless they completely get their own way, and preventing all others from continuing the game unless their demands are met. Unless addressed before Oct. 17, this shutdown will mean that the government will be unable to have its debt ceiling increased, meaning that it wull default, for the very first time in our entire history, and be unable and unwilling to pay its bills for monies it has already spent. This is completely irresponsible and indefensible.

Today’s Tea Party idiots all adore and champion the late President Ronald Reagan. They would be wise to examine what their hero had to say about an impending failure to increase the debt limit which occurred during his angry reagan 2presidency. In a radio broadcast on Sept. 26. 1987, Reagan said (and I quote):
“Congress consistently brings the government to the edge of default before facing its responsibility. This brinksmanship threatens the holders of government bonds and those who rely on Social Security and Veteran benegits. Interest rates would skyrocket; instability would occur in financial markets; and the federal deficit would soar. The United States has a special responsibility to itself and to the world to meet its obligations. It means we have a well-earned reputation for reliability and credibility; two things that set us apart from much of the world…”

I doubt that any of today’s Tea Party infested reactionary Republican Party members will heed Reagan’s warning. They refuse to listen to reason and they hate government anyway and want to destroy it. They have long claimed to be “the party of fiscal responsibility” but those of us who really know the score are gop lies bigpants on fireconvinced beyond all doubt that this is yet another of a very long and tiresome set of hypocritical Republican lies. Other hypocritical lying Republicans include (but are not limited to) a list of 15 House Republicans, each of whom accepted large federal farm subsidies for their family farm but then turned around and voted for a severe cut in food stamps which benefit the poor! The utter hypocrisy here would be amazing, except when you remember these are Republicans we are talking about. The list includes: Robert Anderholt (AL), Blake Farenthold (TX), Stephen Fincher (TN), Vicky Hartzler (MO), John Kline (MN), Doug Malfa (CA), Tom Latham (IA), Frank Lucas (OK), Cynthia Lummis (WY), Randy Neugebauer (TX), Kristi Noem (SD), Marlin Stutzman (IN)m and Mac Thornberry (TX). The hypocrisy here is two-fold: each of gop doesn't carethese persons gladly accepted the corporate welfare of their farm subsidy yet would not approve the individual welfare provided by food stamps; and, while claiming to be “the party of Christian values”, these Republicans voted against the repeated instructions of Jesus to feed the poor and sick. Of course, the numbers of congressional Republicans who actually care about sick or poor Americans these days is infinitesimally small. Most loathe or choose to ignore these countrymen; tough luck, Jesus.

These Tea Party-infested, reactionary Republicans who vote for a government shutdown, refuse to fund or implement the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (aka “Obamacare”), and willfully take federal farm subsidies for themselves while voting to deny food stamps for the needy no longer deserve to be on the public payroll. As taxpayers, we should be outraged, and vote them permanently out of office in November of 2014. Where they actually belong is in the Hypocritical Republican Hall of SHAME!don't elect gop

About jackjodell53

I am an American Dissident trapped in a country where poor and middle class people are constantly being exploited and lied to by a very rigid and conservative plutocratic elite. I believe in government OF, FOR, and BY the people, not one controlled as it now is by corporations and special interests.

  1. The shame of this whole tea party thing is that they actually have supporters. It is amazing to me that upwards of 20% or more people say they support the tea party. Do we really have that many stupid people in this country? I just find it mind boggling.

  2. Hello Jack,
Even Ron Reagan & Tip O’Neil worked together for the sake of the country.

This current group of Reactionary Teabaggers are something I have never seen in my Republican Party.

The best u can come up with is they are a collection of the mentally ill.

      Hello Engineer,
That is a good point, as these extremists are decidedly crazy. I am very glad to see there is at least ONE sane and fair-minded Republican left in this country – I wish others of like mind would boldly dash forward and throw these Teabaggers out for good!

I have started a government shutdown hall of shame. Each day the shutdown continues, I induct a new member. See the first 9 inductees ar

I agree wholeheartedly with you that Eric Cantor is a real lying scumbag. Thank you for this comment. I also agreed with your other choices for your hall of shame. In many other countries, these seditionists would be immediately locked up or put before a firing squad. How unfortunate for the world that we Americans allow these morons to walk around perfectly free. Readers: be sure to check out to see these brilliant postings.

It really is a shame that a small minority is able to hurt our country so much, but I believe 2014 will see these clowns out of office. Boehner needs to go back to being a janitor so he can clean up messes instead of causing them.
